Champion Gymnastics Booster Club Meeting
Full Booster Club Meeting
April 26, 2011
(additional meetings scheduled for April 29, 2011)

Attendees:

Melissa Struk – President
Jennifer Horowitz – Current Secretary
All Parents Were Invited to Attend One of Three Meetings

1. Team Photos

The photos are in from the photographer and are available in the office.

2. Budget Information (presented by Melissa on behalf of Loretta)


 Met target for fundraising this year.  No April invoice to cover fees will be required.

3. Poker Nights

The gym has been able to secure 4 poker nights (June 18,19,20 and 21, 2011)
Volunteers are still required as follows:
One volunteer for June 19, 2011 One volunteer for June 20, 2011
One volunteer for June 21, 2011 Training for volunteers will be provided at the beginning of the session.

Gordon advised the group to consider making sure that at least one member of the two person team was a male, for safety reasons.
Melissa is going to find out what the protocol is for leaving the premisis with cash.

4. Additional Fundraising

Melissa has already begun to line up car washes this summer.
Can drives are on-going.

5. Banquet

To be held on June 12, 2011

Melissa will visit the facility in May to get more information about layout, etc.
Helium balloons are not permitted due to fire code. Linens will be provided.
Flowers are being considered for the centerpiece.
Volunteers are needed to set up the facility. Please look for a sign-up sheet in the gym.

6. Elections

Nominations will be received from April 25 to May 6, 2011. Nominations can be either e-mailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or put in the Booster Club mailbox. You may nominate yourself or another parent.
Jennifer will validate interest of all of those nominated. If there is more than one person nominated per position, elections will be held between May 16 and May 20, 2011.  If you are interested in running, please contact the current booster club members

Term of officers – July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.

 Melissa is making ongoing changes to the website. If you have any recommendations for

the website, please contact her, Dave or Gordon.
